We can help in many ways:

For attorneys, we speak ‘law’.  We understand the important points of disability work.  We can recognize medical errors or smell out suspicious medical record entries that otherwise would pass detection.  Wondering if you have a case?  We will help you determine the sequence of events, the interconnection of errors, and give you a sense of the environment where the problem took place.  This information is invaluable during cross examination or expert testimony .

For private individuals, we provide similar services for those who were left with a bad outcome and few explanations.  But we will also help with issues that arise in real time, such as the need for surgery or choices  between treatments.  We will not choose for you, but we will make sure that you are as educated as possible, so that you can make decisions that are truly best for you.

Explain Medical

Because you need to know

Malpractice, Disability, Personal Care

I answer questions.

Malpractice:  I enjoy working with plaintiff attorneys to analyze medical errors and build cases if necessary.  What went wrong?  Did someone make a mistake?  Is there evidence of wrongdoing in the record?  What is the standard of care?  I will review charts and talk to involved parties if possible.  The documentation of mistakes can be subtle, but the story can usually be reconstructed by connecting the information from several sources.  A ‘medical translator’ can be invaluable for this process.

Disability:  I know what the insurers are looking for.  Busted by surveillance?  I can help you explain yourself.  Is there a psychiatric component to your disability that you are missing?  Are you focusing your case correctly and documenting your disability?

Personal Health:  You cannot get your doctor to sit down with you and tell it like it is.  Or perhaps he is just not a good educator, or his/her accent gets in the way.  I can give you the basics about your illness, and help you understand the specifics of your situation.  Are you thinking about changing doctors?  I can help you with that decision.

Group Education:  Do you have a group of people that would benefit from education?  Perhaps a legal team would benefit from learning the basic medical issues of a case.  Or a family needs to discuss long term care for a family member, and would benefit from a better understanding of the prognosis and natural course of an illness.
